Importance of Home Inspections

If you are getting ready to start looking for a home one of the things you want to do after you find the perfect one is have it inspected by a professional Home inspector. This person should be certified either by ASHI or FABI. Inspectors who show that certification are trained to inspect a home properly. When you are getting ready to make one of the biggest investments in your lifetime you need to be sure that you know what you are getting into. Some people want to save the few hundred dollars but I am telling you that it is money well spent! When you are structuring an offer on a property besure to use a contingency clause that will allow you to have the home inspection and that if after the inspections are performed and you are not happy that you can get your earnest money back! PROTECT yourself! A nice looking home by al apperances could be a nightmare waiting to happen! (Remember the movie MONEY PIT? The damages that home sustained we obviously exagerated but the point is well made.)
